We found Dottie on a Craig's List ad that sounded suspicious when the seller told us she adopted Dottie from Dumb Friends League, yet Dottie was not microchipped. Everyone who knows Dumb Friends League knows that is not possible! Fearing she was stolen, we bought her and managed to track down her former owners. They told us Dottie was raised on a farm in Kansas but they gave her up to a passerby when they lost the farm. They let us keep her with their blessings and we retained her name since, after all, Dottie is short for Dorothy!
