Your Pet's Bio/Story
Mugi was adopted in 2014 from the DFL. She chose us after our beloved boxer/bulldog (Mesa) passed away. We believe Mesa had a part in Mugi finding us to ensure her home was gifted to another deserving dog. She quickly showed awareness of my husband's PTSD and acted in ways that grounded him and lessened his triggers. At the suggestion of his Psychiatrist, Mugi was trained and certified to accompany him during therapy and in previously overwhelming situations. This picture was taken on a one of those 99 degree days and the sun was setting finally cooling the day. Mugi laid on the grass watching the sun go down. I'd like to think she was telling the sun, "ok, it's great you gave lots of warmth today but you can go away for a while now so we can all cool off."
