About My Kitty
Manchito (Mani) was adopted through the Euclid Beach Cat Project in summer 2021 - just after a trip our family took to Puerto Rico. While there, we encountered a friendly cat with a similar patterning and the owner said her name was Manchita! In Spanish, it means little stain, like the splotches of black and white fur both cats have. Our Manchito was rescued by the Euclid Beach Cat Project from under a residential porch in Buckeye where he was found with his sister (who we also adopted). Mani had a rough start to life, eating rocks which tore up his stomach and led to numerous surgeries. He also had an eye infection, resulting in the loss of his right eye before we adopted him. Our one-eyed cat is thriving these days. He loves munching he eye health treats, sunning in the window and is so curious about the newest addition to our house, a six-month baby boy (and all of baby's toys)! Manchito is the most social cat you can imagine, greeting everyone at the door as if he were a dog. He's never met a person he didn't want a pet from and loves our house parties.
