About My Kitty
Calypso was supposed to be just another foster, but from the moment he arrived, he stole my heart and became family.

He was rescued from poor living conditions after his owner could no longer care for him or the many other cats in the home. An untreated eye infection left the third eyelids fused to both of his eyes, causing permanent blindness. But Calypso has never let that define him.

Instead, he has become the president of the welcoming committee, greeting everyone he meets with confidence, curiosity, and endless affection. He loves visiting new places and meeting new people, proving every day that you don’t need sight to see the good in the world.

Calypso’s gentle spirit has made him much more than a beloved companion. I bring him to work with me, where he helps students relax, build confidence, and brighten even the hardest days. He is currently training to become a certified therapy cat so he can share his gift with even more people.

Calypso’s story is one of resilience, hope, and unconditional love. He reminds everyone he meets that our greatest challenges don’t define us—our courage, kindness, and ability to inspire others do.
