Official rules and regulations

How to Enter

For each $10 donation you may enter one (1) photo. Donations and entries are unlimited.
Entrants' photos may feature more than one pet and may also feature people with pets.
By entering the contest, you warrant and represent that you are the owner(s) of the photo(s) submitted and have obtained all necessary permissions from all persons and owners of pets depicted in the photo(s) submitted, and from any owner or holder of any pet, property, copyrights, trademarks or other rights in materials or other items depicted in the photo(s) submitted. By entering the Contest, you grant a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free license to Emancipet to display, post, publish or use the photo(s) submitted as set forth in these Official Rules or for any other charitable purpose.
This contest is open to residents of the fifty United States who are at least 18 years of age. Void where prohibited.
Employees of Emancipet and other companies associated with the promotion of the Contest are not eligible to enter or win.
Digital photos are recommended. Photos must be clear, of good quality and high resolution — 300 dpi or higher in PNG or JPG format — and no greater than 5MB.
We cannot accept Polaroid, poor quality, hard copies, or any copyrighted or professional photos.
Entries must be submitted within the contest dates.
We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason.
Emancipet reserves the right to modify or clarify any of the contest rules during the term of the contest without advance notice.
By participating, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Emancipet.
Entries will be publicly displayed on the Emancipet website where people can vote for photo(s) pursuant to the Official Rules. The winner be chosen based on the total number of votes. Odds of winning vary depending on the number of participants and number of votes.
Winner Notification: The potential prize winners will be notified by email at the addresses provided on the entry form. If the potential prize winners cannot be contacted within five (5) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her or the prize is returned as undeliverable, the potential prize winner forfeits the prize and Emancipet reserves the right to award the prize to another entrant. The potential prize winners must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The prizes will be fulfilled within approximately 8-10 weeks after the conclusion of the Contest.
General Conditions: Emancipet reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, human error or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the contest, as determined by Emancipet in its sole discretion. Emancipet reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the contest or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or any other contest or in an inappropriate, unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
Emancipet is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible. All donations are non-refundable.

How to Vote

For every $1 donated, participants will receive one (1) vote, minimum $5 donation (5 votes) required.
When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place your votes on multiple entries.

Votes for photo entries must be submitted online before Friday August 7, 2020, 11:59:59 om CST.
The winner is determined by the most votes. If there is a tie, Emancipet will choose the winner by selecting the photo that best represents Emancipet's nonprofit mission.
