First Annual No More Littering Calendar

We are fundraising to host a low cost spay and neuter clinic in 2026. Our hope is to reduce the number of unexpected litters in our area.

Prizes

1^st Place (1 winner)

The contestant with the most votes at the close of the contest will be the first place winner. Your pet will receive a professional photoshoot with photographer, Angel Marquez, and will be featured on the cover of the 2026 EMCAP Calendar.

2^nd Place (11 winners)

There will be 11 second place winners. The eleven contestants with the most amount of votes after the first place winner will receive the second place prizes. Each second place pet winner will be featured on one of the months in the 2026 EMCAP Calendar.

3^rd place (1 winner)

There will been 1 third place winner. That contest will be the boards choice for the final month of the 2026 EMCAP Calendar.

Rules

The contest opens at 12:00:00 AM (Mountain Time) on Tuesday, August 5, 2025. The contest closes at 11:59:59 PM (Mountain Time) on Friday, September 5, 2025. Only funds raised within these dates will be considered.
Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated.
Participants can enter or donate from anywhere.
By submitting a photo, you acknowledge and give permission to the EMCAP to use the name, story and photo of the animal entered in future publications, promotions and materials, including the 2026 Calendar. You also confirm that you own the rights to the photo you are submitting.
All calendar winners must be domesticated animals. Animals in contest photos must not be displaying any signs of distress (e.g., looking fearful or anxious). We reserve the right to ask for a new picture submission for any reason.
The EMCAP reserves the right to disqualify an entry based on objectionable content or depiction of the animals in a photo, if an appropriate replacement cannot be submitted.

About Us

East Mountain Companion Animal Project is a foster-based network, intending to keep puppies and kittens out of shelters and off of Craigslist. Baby animals that are taken to shelters take up valuable kennel space as well as taking attention and possible adopters from the harder-to-place adult dogs and cats. When they are "rehomed" online or in front of stores, they are rarely vetted- continuing the cycle of pet overpopulation and the spread of communicable diseases into our communities. Rescue- it's the only responsible choice.
