A Great Dane with a BIG heart and an even bigger comeback story. When she arrived at Everett Animal Shelter, she was dangerously underweight with a body score of just 1.5—but you’d never know it now. With love, care, and plenty of snacks, Matilda has blossomed into a happy, goofy, gentle giant.

She spends her days perfecting the art of cuddling, supervising snack time, and showing everyone she meets just how resilient (and adorable) she is. Matilda’s journey is proof that even the toughest beginnings can lead to the sweetest endings.
