• All entry donations, as well as votes, are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Please save your credit card receipts for your tax records. The Florence Area Humane Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

• All donations to the photo contest are final.

• All photos and votes must be submitted for inclusion by 10:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, August 3, 2025.

• An email address is required to make an online donation. If you would not like to receive FAHS news and solicitations via email in the future, there is a checkbox that you can un-check at the time of your donation.
  
  

• To submit your pet's photo, a minimum $5 donation per photo is required. This amount will enter you into the contest, and the submitted photo will be featured in the FAHS 2026 calendar.

• If you are one of the top 12 winners, your pet will have a featured monthly placement in the 2026 FAHS Calendar.

• One person may submit as many photos as they wish of one or several pets ( dogs, cats, rabbits, and birds are accepted).

• Cats or dogs do not need to be adopted by, fostered by, or otherwise affiliated with the Florence Area Humane Society.

• Photos may include multiple pets.

• Photos of pets may not include people.  

• Photos should be in focus and of high quality, in either jpg or png format. Contest winners may need to re-submit their photo to FAHS as a high-resolution, print-quality image.

• All photos submitted will be placed at the discretion of the Florence Area Humane Society. Any inappropriate images submitted will be removed, with no opportunity for a refund.

• Once entered, all photos become the property of FAHS to be used for print and marketing purposes for future calendars and contests.

• Photos may not be altered except for minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments. Photos may not be embellished with text or art.

• Please note: Photos submitted offline (in person or by mail) may receive placement in the 2026 FAHS Calendar but will not be eligible for the Pet Photo Contest.

• Photographs must either feature pets owned by the entrant, or the entrant must have permission from the pet's owner to submit their pet's image.

• Each $1 donation counts as one vote. When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank" of votes for the amount of your donation (e.g., a $25 donation equals 25 votes.) These votes then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries. Each donation has a required $5 minimum, but you are welcome to choose a higher donation amount that will enable you to get more votes.

• Vote as often as you like

• We encourage you to share the contest link with family and friends via email and all social media options. Encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo and to continue sharing it with their extended friends and families via all media-sharing venues.

• The photograph with the most votes (donations) at the end of the submission period will win the voting portion of the Photo Fundraiser.

• All donations are non-refundable. Contest payments are made through a safe, secure, and encrypted site. The Florence Area Humane Society strongly encourages all donations for the Pet Photo Contest to be made online. However, if you must submit an offline donation, FAHS must receive it by Thurs, Sept. 7, 2025, to be considered a contest entry/vote.
