Photograph DescriptionSometimes you just get lucky. That's what happened when my wife and I were standing in a wheat field at the Ruchama Kibbutz, in Israel in February 2017. As we were photographing the sunset, we heard the whooshing of the gas burner from the hot air balloon. It drifted by just about 100 feet from where we were standing, atop a small hill. I got very fortunate to snap off this single-frame capture of the balloon passing through our field of view. It was over in less than 15 seconds. Sometimes you just get lucky. Exif: Nikon D750, 28-300 mm zoom at 35mm, ISO 200, f22 1/40 .
