Poppy showed up outside of Faithful Friends' shelter in January 2023, limping with a fractured shoulder. She was 10 months old. I fostered her, then adopted her in May 2023 and changed her name from Nova to Poppy. Her DNA test revealed that she is a true "Heinz-57" mutt and a wild-child with a tiny bit of coyote in her ancestral mix. She is high energy when she is "on" and super snuggly when she winds down. Her German-Shepherd bark makes her seem fierce, but she absolutely loves everyone, canine and human. She is a loving, integral part of our family. xoxo
