Picture your favorite firefighter on our 2024 calendar!
Submit a photo of your favorite Lancaster County firefighter to our photo contest. Photos must be submitted between August 7th and August 22nd, 2023. Each firefighter will be contacted to get their permission to participate and to ensure that they are 18 or older.
This photo contest fundraiser is a great way to celebrate the life-saving work of firefighters while also raising money for their departments. A portion of the price of each $1 vote will go to the fire departments of the top 3 vote-getting firefighters.
There will be three rounds of voting to determine the winning firefighters - votes will be zeroed out after each round of voting. You can vote for free once each day from Thursday through Sunday during each voting round. Or, you can buy votes for only $1 per vote on any day of each voting round. There is no cost to enter the contest.
After the three rounds of voting, the 12 top vote-getting firefighters will be featured in a beautiful, glossy wall calendar. On the cover of the calendar will be a photo of the entire fire department of the firefighter who got the most votes.
The 12 winning firefighters have the option to have a FREE professional photo taken for the calendar.* Winners will receive a free copy of the calendar and a free digital copy of the photo. Calendars will be available to purchase, with a portion of the proceeds going to the three winning fire departments. See our prizes.
*Professional photos will be scheduled in early September at each winning firefighter's fire department. If a firefighter cannot attend during the available dates/times, we will use the photo submitted to the contest.
Helpful tips:
Only submit one photo of each firefighter. This will increase your odds of winning because your friends and family won’t have to choose which photo to vote for.

Remember to frequently check your favorite firefighter's standing toward the end of the contest in case you want to vote again. Voting gets very brisk toward the end of each voting round.
Lastly, remember that every vote helps support Lancaster County fire departments, so please vote early and often!
Voting schedule:
- Free votes:
- You can vote for free once each day from Thursday through Sunday during each voting round.
- Free votes will be added to the leaderboard by Monday 7PM of each voting round.
- Paid votes:
- You can buy votes for only $1 per vote on any day. Votes can be purchased individually or in bundles.
- Paid votes are added to the leaderboard immediately.

- Voting opens: Thursday, 8/24
- Free voting closes: Sunday, 8/27 at 7PM
- Paid voting closes: Tuesday, 8/29 at 7PM
- Round 2 voting - the top 50% of firefighters from Round 1 will move to Round 2, and all vote totals will be zeroed out.
- Voting opens: Thursday, 8/31
- Free voting closes: Sunday, 9/3 at 7PM
- Paid voting closes: Tuesday, 9/5 at 7PM
- Round 3 voting - the top 50% of firefighters from Round 2 will move to Round 3, and all vote totals will be zeroed out.
- Voting opens: Thursday, 9/7
- Free voting closes: Sunday, 9/10 at 7PM
- Paid voting closes: Tuesday, 9/12 at 7PM
- Announce winners: Wednesday, 9/13
