A little about me...
Hi, I am Gracie and I came here after being rescued from a kill shelter in South Carolina. I arrived on a Friday and my picture was posted on the First State Animal Shelter and SPCA Facebook page which my new Mom follows closely. My Mom saw my picture as soon as it was posted and shared it to her husband and daughter because something in my eyes reminded her of their dog Roxy who had crossed the rainbow Bridge several months earlier. Roxy also came from First State and she was a part of the family for 14 years. My new Dad then secretly arranged for a meeting. When he brought Mom to meet me he told her not to get too attached because they were not going to be able to bring me home because he still wasn't ready after losing Roxy. Well as it turns out I won him over and came home with my new family that same day!
