Rules

Owner and dog must be residents of Delaware and only one pet per photo submission.
Photos must be of submitted dog only, no other pets or people allowed.
No copyrighted or professional photos allowed.
All submitted photos become property of First State Animal Center and SPCA and can be used in print and marketing for the shelter.
Registration fee is $15.00 per submission. Voting fee is $1.00 per vote. All fees for registration and voting are non-refundable, tax deductible and considered monetary donations to First State Animal Center and SPCA.
Voting will be open from November 2, 2019 to November 23, 2019.
Winners will be notified on November 24, 2019 and must provide proof that the submitted dog was adopted from a rescue or shelter, does not have to be from Delaware or First State Animal Center and SPCA, and up to date on all shots. You must be able to participate in a photo shoot on November 25, 9:30-10:15 am at the Capital building in Dover, Delaware. If you are unable to be present you will forfeit the State Rescue Dog of the Year to the second place winner.
Employees and Board members of First State Animal Center and SPCA may submit their dog in the contest and can participate, donate and promote the fundraiser but are not eligible to win. They will forfeit the prize to the next highest winner.
