We’re a foster-based rescue located in Crystal Lake, IL dedicated to saving Huskies and Husky-mixes. In 2011, Founder and President Lance Laureys, started Forever Husky with a mission to educate people about what it really means to own a Husky, from typical traits to training to nutrition to veterinary care.
Since then, Forever Husky’s mission has expanded to include rescuing high-risk Huskies from coast-to-coast...California to Carolina... and coordinating adoptions. So far, we’ve placed more than 100 dogs in their forever homes.
But, we’re more than just a Husky rescue. Forever Husky believes in helping Huskies AND humans alike. We strive to provide services and support to other organizations including assisting with coordinating transportation or securing food donations to share with local shelters. We also work with individuals who are considering re-homing their Husky. Whether it’s access to resources, support or services, to this day education remains at the heart of what we do and why we do it.
To put it simply, our goal is to help all Huskies go home and stay home!
