2026 Forgotten Felines and Fidos Pet Photo Contest

Welcome to Forgotten Felines and Fidos’ Photo Fundraiser! Do you think you have the cutest pet photo? Submit your favorite photo and let’s find out!

Participating is easy: just submit your favorite picture of your pet by clicking on the “participate” button at the top of the page, then make sure to encourage your family and friends to vote for your picture! Votes are $1 each, so you and your family and friends can vote for your own pet's photo as many times as you would like to.

Don’t want to submit a photo but still want to participate? You can still view the entries and vote for your favorite (or favorites!)

Prizes

All winners from 1^st to 5^th place will have their pet’s picture included in the 2027 calendar.

Grand Prize (1^st Place)

The grand prize is a professional pet photo shoot and a featured article in the Forgotten Felines and Fidos quarterly newsletter. This will go to the pet whose photo gets the most votes by the end of the voting period.

Runners Up (2^nd - 5^th Place)

2^nd-5^th place winners will receive a free 2026-2027 Forgotten Felines and Fidos calendar.

The contest will run from 8:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 until 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, August 7, 2026.

All proceeds from the contest votes will help us provide shelter and lifesaving care for the 100+ cats and kittens at our shelter!

Prizes

Grand Prize

The winner will receive a professional pet photo shoot by Maria J Photography. This includes a framed 11x14 print of their pet! Additionally, the winner will have a featured article in the Forgotten Felines and Fidos quarterly newsletter. Lastly, their pet’s photo would be featured in the 2026-2027 Forgotten Felines and Fidos calendar and the winner will receive a free calendar.

Runners Up

2^nd through 5^th place will have their photo featured in the 2026-2027 Forgotten Felines and Fidos calendar. These participants will also receive a free calendar.

Rules

$1 counts for one vote, and there is no limit to the number of votes you can cast for the duration of the contest.
Photos of cats, dogs, horses (or other equines), and small pets are accepted, but humans are not allowed in the picture. Multiple entries are permitted and there is no submission fee!
All photos must be digital. All entries must be the original work of the entrant. We cannot accept copyrighted professional photos or any photos that have been digitally manipulated or altered. We reserve the right to decline publication of any photograph for any reason.
Your pet does NOT need to have been adopted from Forgotten Felines and Fidos to be eligible to enter this contest.
The contest will run from 8:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 until 8:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Friday, August 7, 2026. All entries and votes must be submitted by the deadlines provided in order to be included.
The winners will be notified by telephone or email once the contest is over. If the potential winner cannot be contacted within three (3) days after the date of the first attempt to contact him/her, we may select an alternate potential winner in his/her place from the next non-winning, eligible top vote-getter.
