Short Bio / Story
Sami had been used for breeding, blinded in one eye (so her vision is very poor, and she's a little self conscious about it), kept in cage so tiny that her hind leg muscles atrophied, was tossed out and hit by a car, was covered in deep scars. Thankfully someone took her to a shelter. With a lot of work and physical therapy (I called them "ballet classes") where we both lay on the grass and I pushed gently against her hind legs and told her to "point those toes", and got her to push away gently - she gained strength back, and now she runs and jumps and plays like any other dog. She is the most sweet natured and gentle dog, in spite of her terrible beginning. Now, a year and a half later, is the happiest girl in the world.

Chasing iguanas off our deck and getting rewarded with a dental treat (she often can't see the iguanas, so I have to go outside and point them out)
