Franklin's Friends is an all volunteer 501c3 non profit organization whose mission is to support Central Florida animal welfare by fundraising for local nonprofit and government agencies that are dedicated to Shelter/Rescue, Spay/Neuter, or Community Education programs.
We raise money primarily through our two signature events - the HOWL-O-WEEN Dog Walk-a-Thon and Canine Costume contest (virtual in 2020) and our "Unleashed. Uncorked. Unframed." gala. Then, through a rigorous application process, we grant funds to deserving local animal welfare organizations for specific projects that align with our mission
In 2019 we raised over $203,000 and in 2020 we have already awarded 10 distinct grants. All told we have raised over $1.8 million for local animal welfare!
