Tails & Triumphs

Celebrate canine spirit and support the Frontier Animal Society!
Frontier Animal Society, in partnership with Korina Joseph Photography,  is pleased to announce its third annual dog calendar contest for 2027. All proceeds from contest voting and entry fees, along with half of the proceeds from calendar sales, will support Frontier Animal Society in meeting the basic needs of the cats and dogs in their care, including veterinary care, nutritious food, and enrichment items such as toys and treats.

We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your dog and invite your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; entries that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Help us reach our goal by submitting your photo today and start sharing to gather votes!
Prizes
Grand Prizes:
  • The winners of the photo contest will be the 13 participants who receive the most votes.
  • The grand prize winner (the dog with the most votes) will be featured on the cover of the 2027 calendar. The 2nd through 13th place winners will each have one month of the calendar featuring their dog’s photo.
  • Winning entries featuring two or more dogs will share a month.
  • All 13 winning dogs will be professionally photographed by Korina Joseph Photography for inclusion in the 2027 calendar.
  • Winners will also have the opportunity to purchase additional products and images following their session, if they wish.
Important: If your dog is selected among the top 13, you must be able to travel to Korina Joseph Photography at a pre-selected location in the Sherbrooke area for a professional photography session. Sessions will take place between July and September (inclusive). If you are unable to attend during this period or travel to the designated locations, you will forfeit your prize and the next highest vote recipient will take your place in the calendar, with no exceptions.
About Us
The Frontier Animal Society Shelter has been a cornerstone of our community since its founding in 1982. Operating under the guidance of a dedicated board of directors, our mission is to rescue and rehome stray and abandoned cats and dogs, ensuring that each animal finds a loving and responsible forever home.

Our shelter provides a safe haven for approximately 25-35 cats and kittens and 8-10 dogs at any given time. With only one paid employee, we rely heavily on the support of our volunteers. Most of our cats and kittens are rescued as strays, many from local barns. Our dogs come to us through transfers from other rescues or shelters, as cast-offs from commercial breeders, or as surrenders from families.

Since our adoption fees don't fully cover the cost of caring for our animals, fundraisers like this are essential for sustaining our operations and continuing our mission. As a registered charity, we depend entirely on donations.

Entries
  1. The contest is open to all dogs.
  2. Each entry is $5.
  3. No people should appear in the photos, only your dog(s). Photos that do not respect these rules will not be eligible to win and without the possibility of a refund.
  4. All dogs entered into the calendar contest must be living at the time of entry and must be able to travel to the Sherbrooke area for their photo session, should they be selected as a winner.
  5. Entry photos that include two dogs will share a month if they rank among the top 13.
  6. All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any photos protected by copyright.
  7. The submission period begins at 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Monday, May 18, 2026 and ends at 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Tuesday, June 9, 2026.
  8. Any photograph whose content is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene, as determined by Korina Joseph Photography and in its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest without the possibility of a refund.
  9. Posting more than one photo of your dog does not increase your chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the 13 photos that receive the most votes. The same dog can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.
