your dogs and cats in the spotlight

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet
Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

Rules
Contestant Entry Information
- You may enter as many photos as you wish but only one image per entry.
- Your entry is/are final.
- Photos can only include one cat or dog or other small pet.
- Cats and dogs do not need to be adopted by, fostered by, or otherwise affiliated with GARC.
- No humans in the photos, please.
- No obscene, defamatory or offensive images or content.
- Entries from anywhere on planet earth are acceptable.
- Photos must meet the criteria listed in the Photo Requirements section.
- GARC reserves the right to refuse images that do not meet these specifications.
How to Enter
- Minimum donation is $6 per photo to enter the contest.
- Donations (photo submissions) are tax-deductible by law. Please save your credit card receipts for your tax records. GARC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We will email you donation summary in January 2027
- You acknowledge that you understand and agree to all other requirements/restrictions listed within these rules.
Photo Requirements
- Pets only — no humans in the photos, please.
- Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) and be in landscape (horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar.
- One pet per photo, but you're welcome to enter multiple pets in separate submissions.
- No graphics or filters. Please avoid frames, text, or social media-style filters — we want to see your pet's natural charm! But clothing and costumes are encouraged.
- Anyone can enter, but the pet(s) must be your own, and you must have the rights to the image.
- Once your photo is submitted, it will be publicly viewable for voting.
- By submitting, you grant GARC permission to use your photo(s) for marketing, fundraising, and promotional purposes.
- GARC reserves the right to crop, enhance, or edit images as needed.
- Entries that don't meet content guidelines or are deemed inappropriate or offensive (including text, backgrounds, or attire) may be disqualified at the discretion of GARC.
- All entries are final. No substitutions or refunds will be made once a photo is submitted and payment is processed.
- Photos must only contain domestic pets (no people or wildlife).
- Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar.
IMPORTANT: All submitted photos are subject to review by GARC in order to meet minimum photo requirements. Entries that do not meet all guidelines will not be permitted and any donations related to those submissions will not be refunded.
Contest Period
Photos will be accepted for the GARC Calendar Photo Contest from 12:00 AM (Central Time) on Monday, June 1, 2026 and conclude at midnight (11:59:59 PM Central Time) on Sunday, September 6, 2026. Votes will be accepted for the GARC Calendar Photo Contest for the same time period.
Voter Information
- Donations (votes) are tax-deductible by law. Please save your credit card receipts for your tax records. GARC is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We will email you donation summary in January 2027
- Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries. Each donation has a required $6 minimum.
- Vote as often as you like.
- We encourage you to share the contest link via email and all social media options with family and friends. Encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo and to continue sharing with their extended friends and families via all media sharing venues.
- All donations are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page.
- Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person, or our website, etc.) will be accepted as donations, but not applied toward the contest.
- Contest payments are through a safe secure and encrypted site.
Winners
Winning photos will be determined based on the photos that have the most votes at the time that the contest period ends. Votes cost $1.00 each. See "Voter Information" for more details. The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
