We rescued Cassie in November 2012 from the Sacramento Shelter. She was a stray and we were going to foster her. Within days of arriving in our household we knew she was a keeper! She's a terrific friend and playmate to our other non-basset rescue Pixie. She's the sweetest dog and loves to climb into your lap for cuddles and belly rubs. We can't imagine why someone let her go but we're so very glad they did because she is a true gem! One of her cutest traits is chasing other dogs at the dog park. She finds one she really loves every time we go and chases it relentlessly howling the entire time. Her funniest choice so far was a greyhound. Cassie is very fast for a basset but obviously no match for a greyhound. It was very cute to watch her trying desperately to catch the dog!
