Ernie couldn’t see the world, but he sure knew how to light it up.

He was adopted him from the Atchison Humane Society after he was found on the side of the road, and vets believe he was born blind. You would never know it though because Ernie lived life with unstoppable confidence and joy. Training him was not easy at first, but this old dog proved he could learn new tricks even without sight. He had a smile that could brighten anyone’s day and never met a person he couldn’t win over. The saying “who rescued who” was made for him. Ernie taught us about love, trust, and how much kindness can transform a rescue. He showed us that even with challenges, life is meant to be enjoyed to the fullest with tail wags, big smiles, and endless “pupventures”.
