How Sasha ended up a stray, I’ll never know. But somehow she found herself outside alone. She would come to my yard just to eat. She was always very quiet, still, and watchful. I tried many times to trap her for TNR, but she was much too fast and smart to trap. Eventually I could see she was pregnant. One day she ran straight up to me crying, which she would have never done before. I knew she was in labor. In her condition, I was able to scoop her up and get her inside to safely give birth. She was such a loving mom and I got the privilege of seeing her kittens grow and blossom. Her 4 babies eventually went to foster and were quickly adopted, and Sasha has stayed with me, now my permanent companion.
