I volunteer at FOPAS where Missy was from 10 months old until I adopted her about six years later. She was iffy with new people, so we decided she had to go with a volunteer who she is comfortable with. That happened to be me when my other dog passed away. Even though I rescued her, she rescued me right back by helping me through my grief. She's the best roommate!
