Contestant Entry Information
Photos can include one or more dogs of any breed. No humans in the photos, please. You may enter as many photos as you wish. Entries from anywhere in the U.S. are acceptable.
How to Enter
There is a minimal $5 per photo to enter the contest which will cover our costs. You may submit more than one dog in the contest. Winners are determined by the dog that gets the highest number of votes. Votes cost $1.00 each. See “Voter Information” for more details.
Online: This method of entry will be available by visiting our website (www.gogophotocontest.com/GREATRescue) and following the directions provided to fill out the entry information, and submit. Photos should be in JPEG, JPG, PNG or GIF format, although JPEG/JPG is the preferred form. Photo size should be at least 270 pixels x 180 pixels in order to minimize photo distortion when viewed online. Please note that cell phone photos will be accepted however they do not offer the highest quality so it is recommended that you avoid the use of such. All submitted photos are subject to review by GREAT Rescue for inappropriate/offensive content. Inappropriate entries will not be permitted and any donations related to those submissions will not be refunded.
Contest Period
Photos will be accepted for the “Life is Golden” Pup-arazzi Photo Contest 2014 website from February 14, 2014 12:00:00 AM (EST) through March 21, 2014 at 9:00 PM (EST) for public viewing. Votes will be accepted for the “Life is Golden” Pup-arazzi Photo Contest 2014 contest website for the same time period.
Voter Information
- Each $1 donation counts as 1 vote. When you donate to vote, you will receive a "bank” of votes for the amount of your donation (ex. $5 donation equals 5 votes) that then need to be applied to the entries you wish to vote for. You can place all votes on one entry or place them on multiple entries. Each donation has a required $5 minimum.
- We encourage you to e-mail the contest link to family and friends and encourage them to vote for your favorite contestant's photo.
- All donations are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Donations and photo entries for this online contest that are submitted via other means (snail mail, in-person or main website donation page) will be accepted as donations but not applied toward the contest. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Winner Notification
The winners will be notified by email or phone on or about March 22, 2014.
Prizes
Each Friday beginning at midnight on Friday, February 21, and ending at 9:00 PM on Friday, March 21, the photo with the most votes collected that week will win a prize of a t-shirt.
The top 7 vote getters will receive one of the following prizes. The top vote getter will have first choice of one of the following prizes. Once they have chosen, the second highest vote getter will choose from the remaining prizes, and so forth until all of the “End of Contest” prizes have been awarded. No substitutions will be allowed.
The 54 entrants with the highest votes will have their entry image and pet's name on one card in a 54 card deck (standard poker-size 2.5'' x 3.5''). The card to which the image will go on will be chosen at random.
Conditional Prize (open to any entrant) - If your entry receives more than 50 votes you will receive one free 1deck of the GREAT Rescue Of NE Florida playing cards. The deck of cards will also be available for purchase in our GREAT online store and at our events within a few weeks after the contest ends.
Winners are ultimately responsible for collecting their prizes from donors. GREAT Rescue will assist by providing contact information for each donor.
The selection process will be determined by electronic tabulations under the supervision of GoGo Photo Contest, whose decisions are final and binding.
Eligibility
“Life is Golden” Pup-arazzi Photo Contest 2014 (the Contest) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. The Contest is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
General Conditions
All photos must be digitally uploaded. We cannot accept hard copies. All submitted photos are subject to review and approval by GREAT Rescue before your entry becomes visible. Watermarked images will not be accepted without written permission from the original creator/photographer. By submitting your photo, you warrant that the photograph is original, that you are the sole owner and copyright holder of that photograph, and that you have not granted exclusive rights of that photograph to any other person or entity. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you. GREAT Rescue reserves the right to remove any photo that contains inappropriate content or determines to be unsuitable.
GREAT Rescue reserves the rights to use the photo in marketing materials related to the photo contest both online and in print during the duration of the contest.
Privacy
Information collected from entrants is subject to sponsors privacy policy.
Agreement to Official Rules
Participation in the Contest constitutes entrants full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final and binding. Winning a prize is contingent upon being compliant with these Official Rules and fulfilling all other requirements set forth herein. In accepting any prize, the winner acknowledges that the GREAT Rescue may not be held liable for any loss, damages or injury associated with accepting or using prize(s).
