Your Pet's Story or Bio
Yuki the cat is a unique employee of the Brandt Centre arena in Regina, Saskatchewan. He was brought to the arena by Phil McPherson, who adopted the friendly kitty when a friend was diagnosed with allergies and had to give him up. Phil, who was a Zamboni driver in the arena, was worried 14-year-old Yuki wouldn’t be adopted, so he took him to work at the Brandt Centre. Sadly, Phil lost his battle to cancer in 2015, so Gord Clarke took over as Yuki’s caregiver. Gord jokes that Yuki is a fan of mini donuts and pizza, but he also makes sure the Brandt Centre stays mouse-free. Yuki keeps a low profile during events, but always makes an appearance to visit his friend Gord. This friendly feline also won’t say no to treats or a belly rub.
