Thank you for supporting our calendar fundraiser. As our largest fundraiser of the year, all proceeds will go towards our medical fund so we can rescue more beagles and provide them with the Happy Life they deserve. We hope you all have fun participating. We can’t wait to see all those beagle photos!

The photos placing in the top 2 – 13 positions will be featured on the calendar months, January through December.

Tips for Your Photo Shoot

Please read the rules before starting.

Set your camera to the highest resolution quality possible. Be sure the date function is turned off.

Keep in mind what is in the background. You want something that does not compete with the dog. Be sure there are no brand names etc. that may disqualify your photo.

Don’t take photos from so far away it’s difficult to see the dog. However, extreme close ups do not enlarge well.

Use caution when taking photos that require a flash. Taking photos inside during the day or outside are the best ways to avoid glowing eyes.

If your dog is cooperating, fantastic. If he’s not, don’t get frustrated, try again later.

Take a variety of photos like seasonal, action and candid.

View your photos on your computer before submitting to ensure the photo isn’t blurry or out of focus.

Don’t discount photos you’ve already taken. There may be the perfect entry already on your phone or camera!

Be creative and most importantly, have fun!

Rules

Contest begins at 12:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, July 12, 2026 and ends at 7:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, August 9, 2026

All photos must be uploaded to the contest website. We cannot accept hard copies. Please contact us at info@happylifebeaglerescue.org if you are having difficulty uploading a photo.

Any beagle or beagle mix is eligible for inclusion in the calendar. Please submit photos of animals only and do not include any people. There may be other animals in the photo, but a beagle or beagle mix must be the primary focus of the photo.

Photo entry fee is $10 and votes are $1 each -- Enter and vote as many times as you like!

To be qualified for the cover and calendar months, photos must be:
- Digital photos
- In color and in focus (no blurring or pixilation)
- Submitted in JPEG (jpg) or PNG format
- Able to be cropped to approx. 11x8.5 in size or 3300 pixels x 2550 pixels
- Resolution 250-350 pixels per inch
  
  (Photos for smaller insets can be of a smaller/lower resolution)

Please note: Our graphic designer will do their best to use the winning photos, however, should a photo not meet the minimum requirements and be unusable, you may be asked to submit a different photo.

By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work and that you own or otherwise control all the rights to your entry materials. Furthermore, you certify that your entry does not contain people, a place of business, a photographer’s signature or items with trademarks or brand names. Additionally, you authorize to use your name and/or your pet's name in the calendar and related advertising.

Happy Life Beagle Rescue reserves the right to disqualify a photo for any reason including, but not limited to, content and reproducibility. Every effort will be made to allow you to resubmit an acceptable photo before the deadline.

Entries are not guaranteed placement in the calendar. However, every effort will be made to include as many photos as possible.

Entry photos become the property of Happy Life Beagle Rescue and may be used for any purpose, including but not limited to Happy Life Beagle Rescue print materials, calendar, website and social media.

Happy Life Beagle Rescue is a 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductible. All donations are non-refundable.

Voters/donors must be legal residents of the United States. Voters under the age of 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian.
