Feature your pet in the 2026 Happy Tails Calendar!

Show off your pet by featuring them in the ARL’s 2026 Happy Tails calendar! Just upload your favorite photo of your pet with a $25 donation and ask your family and friends to vote for your pet's adorable photo.

NEW THIS YEAR: We’re celebrating a major milestone — the ARL’s 100-year anniversary!
This year’s calendar theme celebrates a century of changing lives, and we can’t wait to see the pets rise to the top of the leaderboard.

The 12 photos with the most votes will win a monthly featured spot, and the pet with the most votes will also be featured on the cover of the calendar. All entries that receive at least 25 total votes will receive one copy of the 2026 calendar. Pets do not have to be ARL alumni in order to be featured, and every $1 donation = 1 vote. So spread the word to your family and friends so your pet can be the face (or ears) of the calendar! All donations directly help the homeless pets at the ARL.

Rules

Your pet does not have to be an alumnus of the ARL to be featured
The top 12 pets with the most votes will be featured on one of the monthly cover pages, with the top pet being featured on the front cover of the calendar, as well as a monthly cover.
If your pet wins a cover spot, the opportunity to select a month is determined by the ARL staff
Photos must be high resolution (300 dpi or greater)
Photos must only contain domestic pets (no people or wildlife)
Photos must be in landscape (horizontal) format
Photos must be in full color, not heavily filtered, edited, or altered
Photos deemed offensive, indecent, or obscene will be removed from this contest
All online photo entries must be submitted by Aug. 31.
All photos submitted become the property of the Animal Rescue League of Iowa and can be used for marketing/promotional materials
In the case of a tie, the photo uploaded first will be the winner, so be sure to upload your pet's photo early!

The ARL serves people and pets from across the state of Iowa through its programs, which include pet adoption, humane education, pet behavior training, spay/neuter, animal cruelty intervention, and much more. The Animal Rescue League relies on individual and corporate donations to care for its animals.
