Maverick has been my best friend for the past 13 years. Not only has he welcomed new fosters into our home making them feel safe and teaching them how to be a dog, he has remained faithfully by my side, a steadfast presence, through the good and bad, Everyone who has met this 140-pound gentle giant loves him and some have threatened to steal him for themselves. Even though he’s older, slower, and arthritic, he has never wavered in his love and companionship. There will never be another dog like him, and he will always have a piece of my heart.
