HART, the Homeless Animal Rescue Team of Cincinnati, is a 501(c)3 non-profit rescue serving Southwest/Southern Ohio and regions of Kentucky and West Virginia. We also respond to requests for assistance from rescues and shelters in neighboring states as we are able. HART is 100% volunteer-run, and we are unique in that we do not have a physical location – all animals under our care reside in volunteer foster homes until they are adopted by their forever families.
HART receives no local/state/federal funding – we rely on grants, fundraisers and donations from the community to support our mission: To rescue homeless animals, save them from euthanization, abandonment and abuse, with the goal of placing them in loving, forever homes.
While under our care, all HART animals receive:
*State-of-the-art veterinary care, including specialized treatments/surgeries as needed
*Spay/neuter
*Necessary vaccinations, including heartworm and flea prevention
*Microchips
Since our inception in 2004, HART has provided care to and found forever homes for over 11,000 animals. The need is never-ending, and therefore, we would like to ask for your support of our 2023 Pet Photo Calendar Contest -100% of the profit from the contest will go to the care of the HART animals!
