Dog's Story or Bio
In Nov 2016, HHR transported Cooper and 6 others deemed unadoptable from the Toledo Humane Society (The Toledo 7) to Springfield, after he and 33 others were rescued from a hoarder’s house. Their original 3 Havanese multiplied (and inbred) into 34. They weren’t socialized, groomed, or cared for, and some were living in a Uhaul. Cheryl G. fostered Cooper for 3 months, then I adopted him in Feb 2017. Cooper started out like many HHR alums - afraid of everyone and everything. Cooper’s progress was slow but steady and wonderful. Now he is a sweet, special, playful, precious lovebug! We live in a suburb of STL, and Cooper’s fur-sis Mia helped teach him how wonderful a dog’s life can be!🥰
