Dog's Story or Bio
Phoenix (HHR Gunner) was rescued from a Puppy Mill on July 20, 2019 by Hava Heart. He was only 5 months old and had never known love. When we brought him home he escaped from our car and was missing for 3 nights! With the help of the community he was found and brought home. He has been through so much but has also come so far! There was a time when he would not walk through doors on his own, his tail was always between his legs and he walked with his head low to the ground, sad and afraid. Today Phoenix romps and plays. He loves going to doggie daycare with his friends and especially loves it when his cousin Eden comes over. He loves to chase the "cat laser" around the living room and his favorite stuffed toy is his alligator. He loves his two new feline siblings and loves chasing them and playing hide-and-go-seek. He also loves stretching out on his back and taking up the entire bed! Phoenix was my first foster.... which turned into a foster-fail. But he has become my best friend and I can't wait to share many more years with him! <3
