Everything I believe in, everything I have learned through fostering dogs over 15 years with IBR- especially dogs with such serious health issues as heartworms, mange and tick borne disease- I put into Olivia's recovery. She was in such poor health in February of 2018- her skin was so infected and she was at least 15 lbs underweight- her life was in danger. Getting her pulled to safety was very difficult and as I had relapsed myself, due to my chronic tick borne disease, I was losing sleep and stressing out working on getting her moved out of the high kill shelter in North Carolina. It really is through the kindness of strangers and because of many wonderful friends, that her life was saved. Once I got her home, day after day she got stronger. She is so happy now- on the road to a great recovery. Olivia strong!
