Oh my precious Buckwheat- how lucky am I to have a forever friend close to 17 years. Buckwheat came into IBR's program in 2002 with his 5 other siblings from Missouri. IBR was in its infancy back then, and at 9 weeks old, he broke with Parvo and needed to be hospitalized for many days. Thankfully he pulled through and I knew I couldn't part with him. He was raised by my Pointer, Westleigh and my Setter, Thelmalou. He was dragged all over the country to Agility events, field events and when it was his turn he did great! Buckwheat has helped me foster hundreds of dogs, has been driven thousands of miles on rescue runs and vetting trips, meets and greets and adoption events. Buckwheat is my heart and soul and the best rescue ambassador I could have hoped for. Please consider adoption and mutts are the best pets.
