Every pet is a web superstar. Win a chance to be a part of our 2017 Pets in Paradise™ Calendar! For just a $25 donation, you can help homeless animals and showcase your pet to more than half a million viewers who visit our website every year.

Photo submissions will be accepted April 15 through May 15, 2016. The voting period begins April 15 until May 31, noon HST. Hawaiian Humane Society staff and previous winners are eligible to enter but are ineligible to win grand prizes. Refer to the Rules page to ensure your photo meets the requirements to be eligible for calendar consideration. Each photo entry is only $25, and votes are $1 each (5 vote minimum donation). Enter your pet and spread the word to friends and family to gather the most votes. All donations are non-refundable. Hawaiian Humane Society staff and previous winners are eligible to enter, but are ineligible to win.

• No people, just pets.
• Photos may contain more than one pet.
• Enter as many photos as you want.
• Photo must be available in a high resolution file, at least 300 dpi and 1 megabyte in size.
• Must be in a horizontal format.
  
  

The three pet photos with the most votes wins. Use the "share" button on your pet's public page to share your entry through Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites. You may also email links to family and friends to encourage voting for your pet's photo. There is a minimum of five (5) votes at the time of voting. Pets will receive one vote for every $1 donated to their picture. Votes that are purchased, but not applied to entries after the voting deadline of May 31, noon HST, are non-refundable. Remember to submit votes before that deadline.

All donations are non-refundable and support the Humane Society's many programs for animals and people. The Hawaiian Humane Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Please save the transaction email for your tax records.


The top three photo entrants with the most votes will receive:

• Feature in our Newsletter which is delivered to nearly 30,000 supporters.
• Photography session with Keri Nakahashi Photography, including five digital images.
• Pet of the Month in the 2017 Pets in Paradise™ Calendar.
• Showcase in MidWeek's Pet Friends Forever.
• Your pet's portrait on a metal print from Fujifilm Hawaii.
• A $75 Hawaiian Humane Society gift certificate.
• A surprise Waggin' Swag Bag which may include the following:
   
  ○     A Gibi GPS pet tracking system with one month of complimentary service.
  ○     Magnolia Bakery gift certificate.
  ○     One complimentary ticket to Pictures with Santa Paws.
  ○     A Bag-a-doo Waist Pack.
  ○     Delicious treats for your pet.

     All entrants will receive:

• Complimentary Pets in Paradise™ Calendar
• Feature on the Hawaiian Humane Society website.

When you enter the Pets in Paradise™ Calendar Contest, you warrant that the photograph is original, that you are the sole owner and copyright holder of that photograph, and that you have not granted exclusive rights of that photograph to any other person or entity. With regard to any image or content submitted, you agree to grant the Hawaiian Humane Society the right and permission to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute the photograph. Any inappropriate images submitted will be removed immediately with no opportunity for a refund.
