1. Submit your pet's photo for just $25 in 1 of 4 categories; Dog, Cat, Other Animal or Hawaiian Humane Alumni. Photo submissions and votes will be accepted June 1 through June 30, 2022. 
2. Ask your friends and family to vote for him or her for a $1 per-vote donation ($5 minimum). Collect as many votes as you can for your pet's photo!

Photos must be in horizontal (landscape) format and high resolution (1280 pixels wide and at least 1-megabyte file size). Refer to the Rules page to ensure your photo meets the requirements to be eligible for calendar consideration.


Every entrant will have five chances to be selected by Hawaiian Humane as one of our featured monthly models! The other eight months will be awarded a monthly feature by winning the below.


The photo with the most votes in each category (dog, cat, other animal & alumni) will receive the following:

• Featured as the Pet of the Month for one of the 13 months in the 2023 calendar
• Photography session with a professional photographer and digital copies of the photos. All photography sessions must be completed in July 2022. Photo shoots are only available on the island of Oʻahu. If you are unavailable in July, the next winner will be awarded the photo shoot.
• A custom digital drawing of your entry photo by artist David Anderson
• Hawaiian Humane Society Branded T-shirt 
• One complimentary calendar

The photo with the second most votes in each category will receive the following:

• Featured as the Pet of the Month for one of the 13 months in the 2023 calendar
• Hawaiian Humane Society Branded T-shirt
• One complimentary calendar

The photo that receives the most votes overall will be able to pick which month their pet is featured.


The five entrants whose photos are chosen by the Hawaiian Humane Society for a monthly feature will receive one (1) complimentary 2023 Pets in Paradise Calendar.
