Woody and his siblings were born in Texas. His mother had dug a tunnel underneath a pile of logs stacked about 20' high! The property was being cleared by some workers whom removed each log one by one and rescued Woody, his brothers and sisters and mom. These pups were rescued just before the area received a storm dumping 4" of rain. They more than likely would've drowned if not for these workers and a kind neighbor keeping a watchful eye on the mother dog. Woody and his brothers and sisters were then referred to as the "wood pile pups". The workers brought the 5 pups and their mom who kept them for 15 weeks. Sadly after 5 weeks, one of the brothers, the runt did not make it. The woman caring for Woody and his mom kept the mom and one of the babies born with a heart murmur. She realized she couldn't keep all these puppies and give each the attention they deserve. Woody and his sister, Rose and brother, Cutter were sent on a transport to Helpong Hounds in Syracuse.. With a happy ending for all these sweet babies, that have all been adopted! ❤️🐾❤️🐾
