Tell voters something fun or interesting about the dog in the photo's journey as a rescue dog.
I already have a dog from HH hounds so I was only going to HH to help pick out a dog for my mom. We waited in line for a long time on s Saturday morning and the staff was wonderful when it was our turn they showed us each and every dog. Then I saw Boo. The HH lady said he had three legs and I knew rightvthen I had to have him. I was nervous about having two dogs so I went home and waited to call. I was sure he would be gone because he is a beautiful husky. The lady said no one wanted him so he was mine!! I cannot tell you how excited I was! We had him meet Scout our other HH dog the next day and they got along so well. Boo had a couple of infections and you could see every rib on him so I knew he needed some love. We brought him home and he was so sad. He would hide under just about every piece of furniture we had. It took him around two months baths to wag his tail. Every day I would tell him
How much I loved him and I would scoop him up like a baby. He is now turning two we have had him a year he is so happy, loves the outdoors and the snow!! Can't believe my husky came from Texas. He can walk and run he doesn't seem to mind not having that leg. We had his DNA test done he's almost purebred Siberian husky but just a little Alaskan malamute and that is why his face looks more malamute. He is the sweetest thing. Part of me is sad that no one in that long line that morning at helping hounds wanted him for their own but I am so thankful that they did not or he wouldn't be mine. I cried like a baby when I adopted him. Rescuing is the best and if you haven't tried it yet you really should! Thank you to his foster mom Annie who I give updates to for caring for my Boo before he came to Syracuse.
