Brutus, an America Bulldog, is a Helping Hounds alum and has been with our family since February 2012. Initially Brutus was named "Garth" and he spent about 4 months waiting for a family at Helping Hounds. It is hard to imagine he only weighed about 55lbs the day he came home, but he is nearly 100lbs now. He survived spinal surgery last October after one of his discs exploded and he had to be rushed to Cornell for emergency treatment. Brutus has a dog brother, Louis, and a cat brother, Coheed, whom he plays with gently and enjoys licking his ears immensely. His snores are bed shaking and his farts are room clearing. He is our big loveable goofball and we cannot imagine our home and family without him.
