In the 5 years it has been since Zeke has rescued me, he's let me take him on walks, swims and boat rides, and he's also taught me the joys of squirrel watching (and chasing). He's been a great copilot on road trips, helped me with finishing that bowl of popcorn during a Cubs game, and made sure my spot on the couch and bed were warm and comfortable enough by being right by my side. He's watched me from the window each morning, making it hard to leave for work, and has still been there to greet me at the door at the end of every day. He's been a great friend to the many people he has allowed to scratch his ears and belly, and has made me hardly remember a time he wasn't right here with me. I'm so lucky he picked me to be his person.
