The Heritage Humane Society is a local, independent, open-admission shelter that receives more than 80% of its funding through private donations and receives no funding from the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA. By keeping donations local, you help homeless pets in our community find their way safely to new homes.

Sweet Ellie Photography specializes in creating meaningful artwork that features your best friend! Pets hold an irreplaceable place in our hearts and deserve an equally beautiful place on our walls!

• The top 3 photos with the most votes will win a complimentary photo session with Sweet Ellie Photography. An image from that session will be chosen for display on the walls of The Heritage Humane Society for one year.

• Each week there will be a mini prize awarded to the photo with the most votes on Friday at 5 PM EST. For example, pet items, gift certificates, etc.

• Mini Prizes:
  • June 30 - Awarded to the pet that receives the most donations this week.
  • July 7 - Awarded to the pet with the most new votes this week.
  • July 14 - Awarded to the cat that is the current vote leader.

• One pet per photo.
• No people in photos, only pets.
• Multiple pets may be entered in individual photos.
• Entries and voting open from June 26 at 7 AM to July 17 at 5 PM.
• $3 entry per photo.
• The pet does not have to be adopted  from Heritage Humane Society.
• The pet does not have to reside in Williamsburg/James City County.
• Each vote is $1. There is no limit to the number of votes you can cast.
• Pet parents may vote for their own pets.
