Homeward Pet Adoption Center is one of the leading non-profit, no-kill animal shelters in Washington State. Our mission is to transform the lives of cats and dogs in need through compassionate medical care, positive behavior training, and successful adoption while building a more humane community.
Located in Woodinville, Homeward Pet finds new homes for over 1800 cats, dogs, puppies and kittens every year. We are dedicated to providing excellent care to our animals, and great service to our two-legged visitors.
Making Our Mission Work
As a privately funded 501(c)3 charity, we rely completely on donor support to help us provide food, shelter, vet care and more to each homeless cat or dog in our care. Over 75% of every dollar donated goes to the care of our animals.

Adoption
At Homeward Pet Adoption Center, our goal is to match you with a cat or dog that will become a lifelong member of the family. Our adoption process is based on more than 31 years of finding forever homes for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. We want to help you find the right animal for you, taking into account your family members, home, lifestyle, experience and other pets, as well as the needs of each animal we adopt.
In addition to our in-house adoptions, we also promote a Home to Home program. The Home To Home program is a unique, direct-to-adopter tool for pet owners that need to rehome an animal. In just a few simple steps, pets can find a loving new home without ever entering a shelter. It’s free to use for both pet owners and adopters, and it gives animals needing a new home the best of both worlds: their current owner can find the best fit, and their adopter can learn all about their personality and preferences firsthand. It’s a win-win for pets!
