Benny has had a "ruff"couple of obstacles in his 12 years. His previous owner whose home burnt down in the Altadena fire ,along with her two cats , passed away in October of 2025. She rescued Benny from the Pasadena Humane Society 4 years ago where his name there was "Sprout." She changed his name to "Rainbow Benny" from the character from the 1941 Shadow of a thin man movie. She was an avid classic movie buff!! I promised her that if anything happened to her I would take care of Benny.. so here we are today! He is little Mr independent and has been a godsend to my other senior dog where they keep each other good company!
