Meet Cash, our reigning LAFD Foundation Howling Hero! Now a 10-year-old English Labrador, his charm still goes far beyond his handsome face and gentle nature. Cash is a true hero—not just for what he’s overcome, but for the endless love he gives back. As a dedicated Pooch Program volunteer therapy dog, Cash continues to spread joy, particularly during his hospital visits, where he has become a beloved community favorite. Always excited to greet everyone he meets, his warm, soulful eyes and calm presence offer instant reassurance—especially if you have a belly rub to spare! But Cash’s story of resilience doesn’t stop there. Already a two-time cancer survivor, he is currently fighting his third cancer scare like an absolute champ, facing it with the heart of a warrior and the wag of an ever-hopeful tail. Through every challenge, Cash has remained resilient, loving, and full of life—always ready for his next adventure alongside his brother Tango. Cash has been incredibly proud to represent the LAFD Foundation this past year. He isn’t just a dog—he’s an inspiration. With courage, compassion, and an unwavering spirit, Cash is looking forward to proudly handing the leash over to next year’s deserving winner.
