Kody was found in a ditch covered in ticks in Texas, likely hit by a car. His leg was so badly broken amputation seemed the only choice to free him from pain. He traveled to Canada and into a rescue call Halfway Home K9 Rescue where he was adopted by my family. A few years later he developed Pannus, an eye disease which can be managed with eyedrops but it's also made worse when uv is high outside requiring him to wear glasses. People often stop us and say how cool he looks with his glasses and completely don't notice he's a tripod. Dogs are so resilient and he's made so many people smile and be in disbelief that a three legged dog gets along so well. One person told me my dog has an invisible leg. How great is that? Kody loves people and is such a good boy. He's a hero to me.
