Hi friends, I’m Maui 🐾

My life changed forever the day I met my PAWrents at 1.5 years old. From that moment on, I knew I had found my forever home- and my purpose. After a few years of being a happy family pup, I felt called to do something more… something bigger than myself.

So, I became a therapy dog- and it’s been the most rewarding journey of my life to be part of Go Team Therapy, Crisis & Airport Dogs!

Within just a few months, I earned my AKC CGC, CGCA, and CGCU certifications and became a certified therapy, crisis, and airport dog. In my first year, I completed 75+ therapy visits, bringing comfort and joy to people in schools, libraries, City of Hope, Long Beach Airport, Special Olympics events, the community impacted by the Pacific Palisades Fire, and more!

Every visit is a chance to make someone smile, offer comfort in difficult moments, and remind people they’re not alone. Whether it’s a child learning to read, a patient in treatment, or a first responder who gives so much- my mission is simple: spread love and kindness, one paw at a time.

I believe I should win the LAFD Howling Heroes Calendar Contest because I represent second chances, heart, and purpose. I wasn’t always a therapy dog- I was just a pup who found the right family and discovered a way to give back.

Most importantly, I represent possibility. Any dog- big or small, young or old- can make a difference. Whether through therapy work or simply being a loyal companion, every dog has the power to bring comfort and joy.

For every $2 raised, I will donate $1, with a total donation of up to $300! All proceeds support the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, helping fund vital equipment, training, essentials, and life-saving programs for the brave firefighters who protect and serve our communities every day.
