Meet Lela, the proud mascot of our audio podcast “Chats with Firefighters”, my incredible service dog and constant companion.
She shows up every day with loyalty and unconditional love, and brings smiles everywhere we go. She loves humans, and the fire community.
And as you can see from her photo in front of an LAFD truck, she’s also a natural in front of the camera- confident, photogenic, and more than ready to be featured in a calendar with her firefighters friends.

Vote for Lela to help celebrate the powerful bond between service dogs and their owners, and the positive impact dogs have on humans every single day. Heroes don’t always walk on two legs!
