At just 1 year old, Ace found himself at the Western Riverside County Animal Shelter waiting for someone to see the incredible dog behind the kennel door. Like so many shelter pets, he deserved more than to be overlooked. Since then, Ace has become a reminder that heroes don’t always wear uniforms — sometimes they have spots, wagging tails, and greet you with unconditional love every single day.

As a Dalmatian, Ace already shares a special connection to firefighters and firehouse history, making this contest feel like the perfect fit. But beyond that, he represents every rescue dog who gets a second chance and gives back tenfold through companionship, loyalty, and love.
