Bark in the Park is the largest annual fundraising event for the Humane Society of Missouri and we look forward every year to seeing thousands of animal lovers and their furry four-legged friends who come out to have fun and support us! Unfortunately, this year's Bark in the Park had to be canceled due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Typically each year, dozens of costumed canines and their owners help us close out the event by participating in our very popular Pet Contests. Well, we didn’t want our loyal pet contest contenders to miss out so we’ve come up with something new.
In honor of Bark in the Park and all of those fabulously famous pets who have paraded in costume, performed tricks or won the owner-pet look-alike contests,
we invite you to enter the 2020 Bark in the Park Virtual Pet Costume Contest! We want to see your pet in his/her most creative costume. Beginning May 11, submit your photo of your pet making the most of his/her life at home. Quarantine-themed costumes strongly encouraged!$10 per entry, $1 per vote ($5 minimum donation). All donations are tax-deductible and benefit the Humane Society of Missouri's Animal Cruelty Fund, dedicated to investigating, healing and preventing animal abuse and neglect.
Prizes:
- 1st place will receive an At Home Virtual Puppy Party with Pizza Delivery*, four complimentary registrations to next year's Bark in the Park on Saturday, May 15, 2021 and a Purina Yeti Tumbler
- 2nd place will receive two complimentary registrations to next year's Bark in the Park on Saturday, May 15, 2021 and a Purina Yeti Tumbler
- 3rd place will receive a Purina Yeti Tumbler and an HSMO Swag Bag
*HSMO will make arrangements, at a mutually agreeable date and time, to host a Virtual Puppy Party with the 1st place winner via Zoom! Spend an hour, virtually, with adorable dogs or puppies that are currently in HSMO's care. Winner will also receive a $50 Gift Card to a pizza restaurant that delivers to your zip code. All other prizes for all 3 winners will be mailed sometime after June 8, 2020.
