Calling all pet lovers! Humane Society of Northern Virginia powered by A3P would like to invite all pet lovers to submit photos of their pets for our 6th annual Pet's for Life Calendar Photo Contest. You can submit your pet's photo to the contest and then have family and friends vote to have your pet's photo selected for our upcoming calendar.
The pet with the most votes gets their photo selected!
Voting is only $1 donation per vote and goes to support the wonderful work HSNV/A3P is doing rescuing pets, providing needed medical attention and promoting the human-animal bond.
The photos receiving the most votes will receive a place in our 2026 print calendar. Please follow the results on our Facebook and Instagram pages and Have Fun!
Please ensure your photos are sharp and crisp. No blurry photos please.

The 13 entries with most votes will get the Monthly feature page in the 2026 print calendar with the most votes receiving the coveted Cover. Runner ups will get a smaller picture in the body of the calendar.
Rules
You must 18 years of age or older to submit a photo.
No photos with inappropriate or that are derogatory in nature will be accepted. HSNV/A3P also reserves the right to remove a photo should it be determined to be inappropriate. No photos showing animal abuse in any form will be accepted and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Once submitted, photos become the property of and under the control of Humane Society of Northern Virginia/Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets. The photos will be used for fundraising purposes in the calendar contest. Photos will also be used on HSNV/A3P's Facebook and Instagram pages for the purpose of promoting the calendar contest.
Please submit photos of pets only; no people. The site will allow you add your pet's name, a short caption, your pet's age and city if you wish to include that. The pet's name is needed at minimum.
Please ensure your photos are sharp and crisp. No blurry ones please. If we find upon creation of the calendar and your photo was a winner but it is not clear enough we will contact you for an updated clearer photo of your pet.
The top 13 pictures receiving the most votes will be the winners for placement on the Months of the Calendar and the top vote winner will be featured on the Cover in the 2026 calendar. The board of Humane Society of Northern Virginia/Advocates for Abused and Abandoned Pets will decide the winner of a tie.
We will post weekly results on Facebook and Instagram.
There is a limit of 2 photos per pet that can be submitted. If more than two has been uploaded we reserve the right to select the two and remove the extra pictures.
