Who will be the ulti-mutt cover star?

Do you have the most adorable pup around? Enter our 15^th Annual Cover Dog Contest for a chance to see your furry friend featured on the cover of Tucson Lifestyle Magazine this August! Showcase your beloved pooch while supporting the lifesaving work of the Humane Society of Southern Arizona.

Simply submit a photo of your dog and rally your friends, family, and fellow pet lovers to donate and vote—each dollar raised counts as a vote! The dogs with the most votes will be considered for the coveted cover spot! Join us in celebrating our community’s four-legged stars while making a paws-itive impact!

Submit your entry starting May 1, 2025.
Spread the word to your friends & family to vote for your dog with a donation to HSSA!

Every dollar donated goes to support pets in need!

Prizes

The first one hundred (100) entries will receive a digital mock Tucson Lifestyle Magazine cover featuring their pet delivered via email by EOD on May 30, 2025.
The ten (10) entries with the most votes during the voting period will move on to the Tucson Lifestyle Magazine judges.
The judges will select three (3) finalists to complete a photo shoot, which will take place in the Tucson area. The finalists must be available between May 30, 2025, and June 27, 2025. If your pet is not available for the photo shoot, the Humane Society of Southern Arizona will select an alternate finalist.
One lucky winner, selected by Tucson Lifestyle Magazine, will be on the cover of the August 2025 issue of Tucson Lifestyle

Rules

Open to all full- or part-time Southern Arizona residents over the age of 18.
Photo must be high-resolution, and you must have all copyrights.
Photos must be of only one or two pets maximum; no additional pets or humans please. If additional pets or humans are in the photo, it will be removed from the contest, and you will be contacted for a replacement photo.
Photos must be unaltered beyond basic cropping.
You may enter as many of your own pets as you like.
By participating in this contest, all participants release the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and Tucson Lifestyle from any and all liabilities associated with the contest.
By participating in this contest, all participants grant the Humane Society of Southern Arizona and Tucson Lifestyle Magazine the right to publicize (through print, broadcast, internet, etc.) and/or broadcast a contestant’s name, character, likeness, and the fact that they have participated in or won the “Cover Dog” Contest, without compensation.
We reserve the right to deny entry or remove a participant at any time.

Voting period:

The contest opens for submissions at 12:01:00 AM (US Mountain Time) on Thursday, May 1, 2025, and ends 11:59:59 PM (US Mountain Time) on Friday, May 23, 2025.
